Huge emphasis is placed on the role of the top management, leadership, and managers in the growth of any organization. But it is surprising that majority of the organizations ignore the process of management training. Although the term management training has become an essential part of everyday corporate communication, still there are very limited number of organizations which are able to utilize this concept properly and implement the management training program efficiently and effectively. In this rapidly changing world one has to understand the importance of training and developing the human resource talent of the company.

Managers have an important role in every organization and therefore if they are not well-trained then their decision making abilities, time management skills, interpersonal skills and team leading skills will hurt the organization in the long run whereas if they are trained then these skills will help the organization to do well. Training is very much similar to investing, as an organization allocates budget to promote its product or services, similarly it is crucial for an organization to allocate budget for training programs as well. Human resource or employees of the organizations are considered to be the most important asset and by investing in the most important asset, company will be able to gain competitive advantage as it would improve the overall productivity of the organization.

Through management training programs, organizations are able to build more competitive, more skillful, more competent and better managers and most importantly better leaders. Such training programs are helpful in training how to allocate the workload efficiently to their subordinates and how to lead from the front and become a role model for the rest of the team. Also such training programs are helpful in improving the time management skills and thus managers are able to handle workload in a better way and at the same time meet the deadlines of each project and make the most of their time. Training helps in helping how to make better use of company’s resources which includes employees, as well as other assets of the organization. Also trained managers first identify and understand each individual and their capabilities and skills, and then delegate work accordingly so that the right individual works on the right project to get the best possible results. Not only a trained manager will be able to guide its subordinates, but it will become an example for other employees in the organization who are not under his or her supervision and this way it would create healthy competition within the organization and this would be helpful as every employee would try harder than before.

Training has become an integral part of an organization. Also training has to be tailor-made as managers at each level would require different kind of training and thus training has to be conducted considering the hierarchy level of the managers. Theoretically, the more training a manager receives; the higher chances he has that he will be able to make better decisions that would help the organization to prosper in the long run.
