Retired gymnast Louis Smith has confirmed he is going to have a baby with girlfriend Charlie Bruce while revealing they will be welcoming a baby girl.
The former Olympian and Strictly Come Dancing star, who will become a first-time father with his new addition, shared a clip of the gender reveal party in their back garden on Instagram, complete with the moment they popped the balloon filled with pink confetti.
‘Doing life on my terms,’ the 31-year-old excitedly shared. ‘A big surprise and it’s amazing to be having a baby girl with my women @charliebruce1990 (sic).
‘In this crazy time and during a global struggle I wish everyone a happy life and a world of positivity.’
He continued: ‘Find the light in darkness’s and the hope at then end of a tunnel. Life is full or ups and downs and right now we are taking an up ❤️👶🏼’
Charlie, 30, shared similar posts onto her own Instagram page and revealed she will be giving birth in early 2021.
Along with the gender reveal clip, Charlie posted a snap of Louis holding her growing baby bump as the two beamed at the camera.
‘We are so elated to announce that we are having a baby girl!! 👶🏼💖🎉’ she wrote. ‘@louissmith1989 Due date 19.2.21’
We can’t wait to see their little dancer-gymnast baby.
Louis received a bronze medal and two silver medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.
He went on to win Strictly in 2012, while paired with Flavia Cacace.
Charlie, on the other hand, won the first-ever UK version of So You Think You Can Dance? in 2010.
Although it is not known when the two started dating, Charlie seemed to have confirmed their relationship with the gymnast in February last year.
She shared a mirror selfie from their hotel bathroom in which Louis could be seen,
