Ray Liotta will return to series television as a lead opposite Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser in the six-episode limited series “In With The Devil” for the Apple TV+ service.
Based on the true-crime memoir by James Keene, the story follows a young Chicago man and promising football player Keene (Egerton) who got stuck with a decade-long prison sentence with no chance of parole.
The prosecutor who put him behind bars also earlier had convicted a man named Larry Hall (Hauser) for abducting and killing a fifteen-year-old – just one of perhaps nineteen other women he killed.
As Hall could be released on appeal, the prosecutor offered Keene the chance to be released early if he could ingratiate himself with the murderer, in prison, and get him to confess to at least two more killings. Liotta will play the Chicago cop father of Egerton’s character.
Michael R. Roskam is directing from a script by Dennis Lehane and shooting will take place in New Orleans.
