A Civic Trust Award winner in 2018, Lazaridis Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University is designed for academic collaboration and connection with the community. This landmark facility features a sequence of shifting floor plates, cantilevered and curvilinear forms that articulate a distinct presence and express significant program components.
This facility is home to the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, the Department of Mathematics as well as centres for the management of technology enterprise, entrepreneurship and social innovation.
Both a campus gateway and crossroads, the building is centered around a large skylit atrium lined with informal study and lounge space that support peer learning and collaboration, setting the stage for this building as incubator.
