“Knives Out” Sequel Wraps Filming

Filmmaker Rian Johnson has announced that the first of the two planned “Knives Out” sequels for Netflix has completed filming.

The project shot around Spestes, Greece throughout July before moving to studios for the remainder of the shoot. Johnson used the announcement to also compliment Leos Carax’s new film “Annette” which he recently watched.

Daniel Craig returns as Detective Benoit Blanc alongside new characters played by Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick, and Ethan Hawke.

Johnson is once again writing and directing the second movie, with a third installment already confirmed as part of a $469 million deal with Netflix. Johnson already finished writing the script for that before shooting the second.

We just wrapped production on the next Benoit Blanc mystery and also I finally watched Annette and holy shit it’s amazing. Sending so much love and gratitude to our INCREDIBLE crew and cast and Leos Carax!
