“Jurassic World: Dominion” Pauses Shoot Again

Production on “Jurassic World: Dominion” has once again hit pause following multiple people involved with production testing positive for COVID-19.

A Universal Pictures spokesperson confirms to THR that a small amount of positive tests registered last night, while subsequent tests proved negative this morning. Even so, due to the rigid safety protocols in place those who initially tested positive are currently self-isolating, as are those who they have come into contact with.

As a result “filming has been temporarily paused and will resume in accordance with established safety guidelines.” ‘Dominion’ has around three weeks left on production in the U.K. and has been shooting smoothly since early July until this week.

Cast and crew are staying together in a hotel bought out by Universal in an effort to maintain a quarantine bubble, as well as coronavirus testing three times a week. The production had generated an astonishing 27,000 COVID-19 tests on its own over the past few months – adding around $3 million to the production budget.
