Jonah Hill is teaming with “The Departed” and “The Irishman” scribe William Monahan on a limited series about the relationship between Hollywood fixer Sidney Korshak and MCA chairman Lew Wasserman.
In the 1940s, Wasserman liberated actors from film studio control by creating the earliest incarnation of the modern talent agency and running it until the government made him shed talent representation for producing.
Wasserman’s empire building was abetted by Korshak, the attorney now famous for providing a bridge between organized crime and Hollywood. Hill will play Korshak in the series which Monahan created.
Monahan, Hill, Matt Dines, Mark Canton, Allen Shapiro and Ali Goodwin will all executive produce.
