Mary Ruth Organics, of Los Angeles, CA, is recalling certain MaryRuth’s “Organic Infants Liquid Probiotics, Dietary Supplement” because internal testing found the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in the product.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide.
According to the CDC, Pseudomonas is a type of bacteria that is found commonly in the environment, like in soil and in water. Of the many different types of Pseudomonas, the one that most often causes infections in humans is called Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which can cause infections in the blood, lungs, or other parts of the body.
