The very long in the works fifth and final installment to the “Indiana Jones” franchise is finally happening with photos popping up online of production prepping for a shoot to kick off next week in the UK at Pinewood Studios.
Harrison Ford slips on his signature hat one last time for the new film which also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson.
“Logan” helmer James Mangold directs the film from a screenplay he is co-writing with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth (“Ford v Ferrari”), stepping in for usual franchise helmer Steven Spielberg who is only producing this time out.
Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel will also produce with John Williams returning to score the film. The new film is currently scheduled to be released on July 29th 2022.
