The I’m A Celebrity campmates have officially reunited after they were forced to evacuate the castle after the production was battered by Storm Arwen.
The stars were put into quarantine for a few days while the production base was repaired – and it seems they enjoyed a few luxuries while they were there.
Louise Minchin admitted she indulged in a chocolate bar – with some rather disastrous consequences after her diet of rice and beans in the camp.
‘I literally tried not to inhale it. It went straight through me – ill,’ she recalled, while Frankie Bridge added: ‘I ate a whole fruit and nut and a whole bag of Squashies.’
However, Emmerdale’s Danny Miller kept to a strict set of rules.
‘I stuck to it [Castle life]. I didn’t even sleep in the bed,’ he said.
He later added in the Telegraph: ‘I only ate rice and beans whilst away from the castle.’
Despite their unexpected luxuries away from camp, the celebs were excited to make their way back to the castle to see each other and get back to business – the business of being very cold and uncomfortable, that is.
‘It feels so amazing to be back, which are words that I never thought would come out of my mouth,’ Frankie enthused. ‘I never thought I’d want to see a Castle ever again.’
Louise added: ‘It’s not quite like being at home but it is like coming home and it’s absolutely wonderful. I’ve missed everyone!’
Dame Arlene Phillips went on: ‘It was strange coming into camp. Weirdly it just really felt like no big deal, I’m just coming home to finish off something I’ve started.’
Meanwhile, Naughty Boy – who previously threatened to leave – has vowed to stay in camp, telling Dame Arlene: ‘I’m here until the end – my end. But I won’t ever say I’m going to leave you here, no never. Until it’s our time and only God knows when it’s our time. I’m so glad that we’re still here.’
I’m A Celebrity has had a rocky time over the past few days, as Storm Arwen battered Wales.
For four days in a row, the live shows were axed while production was repaired, with the live shows finally returning on Tuesday.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here returns Thursday at 9pm on ITV.
