How does Lisa leave Hollyoaks and does she die?

Hollyoaks is set to bid farewell to Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji) imminently, following the actress’ departure from the soap.

The character has been a part of the soap since 2016, and has been at the centre of some gripping storylines, from discovering she was abducted as a child through to being blackmailed by Cameron Campbell after being involved in a hit and run.

So it would only be fitting for her to have a dramatic exit from Hollyoaks also – but just how will Lisa be leaving the soap, and is she being killed off?

Here’s what you need to know…

How does Lisa Loveday leave Hollyoaks and does she die?

How Lisa departs Hollyoaks remains a mystery – as those details are being kept under wraps.

But we are promised that she is set to make an explosive departure from the soap, in a storyline which centres around her cousin Mitchell (Imran Adams)’s wedding to Scott (Ross Adams).

The plot finds Lisa ready to go public about her romance with Felix – unaware that he has been two-timing her with her aunt Martine (Kelle Bryan).

What happens? You’ll have to keep watching to find out – but you can expect fireworks.

Rachel said of her exit from the soap: ‘I have had a fantastic time playing the role of Lisa Loveday. I was blessed to have met and worked alongside some of the most talented and professional people during my time on the show.

‘Hollyoaks was an amazing opportunity for me to learn and grow as an actress and I am truly grateful. ‘As much as I have enjoyed my time on the show, I have chosen to move on. I am looking forward to all opportunities that now await me.’

News of Rachel’s exit first surfaced amid a racism row after she criticised Hollyoaks’ response to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 on Tuesday night at 6.30pm.
