I have just finished a 2-day “Virtual Marketing Summit” live webinar with Eben Pagan — Saturday & Sunday, 9am to 5pm. How was it? Well… first, let me tell you a few things about me; then how Eben’s classes helped to change my view of today’s business landscape.
I have been running my graphic design and marketing firm since 1987. I have seen a few ups and downs; I have been through a business roller coaster several times. I have seen good times with customers being faithful to their suppliers. I remember that in the past after each down-turn, business came back to normal. We all used to think about this as normal business cycle that we could deal with.
But the current business climate is not anymore just a down-turn curve with the “up momentum” around the corner. No. The business has changed – and I mean any business you are in. The rules are now not what they used to be and if you don’t adapt, if you don’t take action NOW to change the way you do business, your business will not make it! And to change the way you do business you have to change the way you think about it.
That’s what I had to do. That’s where Eben’s teaching has been so valuable. In August 2011, I purchased a series of Eben’s live webinars called Guru Master Class. I believe I paid $1997. This was a big step for me. I have researched for several months prior to this many Internet Marketing “gurus” and I wasn’t prepared to spend any money! I thought that with so much info available on the internet for free, I could research it all by myself and learn on my own as I go. I was bombarded with emails – to most of which I have subscribed, so it wasn’t spam – each claiming to have the answer to “easy quick money” business on internet. But who do you trust? I realized I needed to find someone who was teaching the real thing; someone who could prove to me that they knew what they were talking about. That’s when I found Eben Pagan – and my weekly routine has changed for ever.
I jumped with both feet into the new world of Internet Marketing education and thinking. I was hoping to learn the basic steps and the know-how of web marketing, and Wow!… I got so much more! For over 5 months I have been taking classes 2 times per week – for 90 minutes each. I have received mountains of Great information on many subjects. Eben did say that there would be additional bonuses, but I didn’t expect the quantity of information, he supplied in addition to the original agreement, would be so much greater.
Now I want to come back to my original reason why I wanted to write this testimonial on how Eben’s teaching helped to change my thinking about business. You see, even though I have been in business for over 20 years, and did pretty well for myself and my family, I wanted to change the way I do business. I needed to convert our company form strictly a graphic design firm into a marketing company using internet marketing tools. I thought I needed to learn the tools. What I learned was that I needed to change my approach to business. Eben’s practical knowledge – by-the-way, if one person can do it, so can another – about psychology of today’s business and how to market in today’s internet based world showed me in a very clear, step-by-step way what to do. What to focus on and when to focus on it. And yes, I also got the tools I originally wanted; as a matter of fact, we are still going through the classes 2 times a week, now learning about how to bring traffic to your website.
This past weekend I was part of Eben Pagan’s Virtual Marketing Summit webinar – Saturday and Sunday all day.
