Jordan Price (Connor Calland) died in Hollyoaks tonight (December 28), as the body bag mystery is finally solved.
Viewers of the Channel 4 soap were desperate to know which resident would lose their life on New Year’s Eve, after last year’s flash-forward episode confirmed that one mainstay would perish before 2020 ends.
The answer to that question was revealed in tonight’s hour-long special, as Jordan was killed by Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) during showdown in The Hutch.
With Victor Brothers (Benjamin O’Mahony) having threatened to kill one of Juliet Nightingale’s (Niamh Blackshaw) loved ones, he ultimately set out to do just that.
He confronted James (Gregory Finnegan), Romeo (Owen Warner) and Sid Sumner (Billy Price), before ultimately deciding that the latter should perish, and thus he took Sid hostage in The Hutch.
Having used Sid’s phone to call Juliet, Victor orchestrated quite the showdown, as Juliet later arrived, and was shocked by the scenes which were unfolding before her very eyes.
Matters were complicated further when Jordan showed up, and it soon came to light that Victor had summoned the young man to The Hutch, as he had something dastardly in mind.
Yes, Victor instructed Jordan to murder both his own cousin Sid and Juliet, commenting that such a thing would demonstrate his loyalty to the cause.
Sid pleaded with his cousin to let them go, and Jordan broke down in tears — knowing that no matter what decision he made, there would be consequences of some nature.
In the end, however, he decided to do the right thing, and therefore allowed Sid and Juliet to walk free, during what can only be described as a heart-wrenching scene.
Sid thanked Jordan — reminding him that he’s one of the good ones. Jordan remained unconvinced about such a thing.
However, tragedy struck, as Jordan discovered that Charlie and Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer) had been hiding under the table this whole time, and therefore had heard the showdown unfold.
Jordan desperately tried to speak to the kids, but a struggle soon ensued, and as Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) arrived at The Hutch at the stroke of midnight, he found Jordan lying dead on the floor.
Hollyoaks continues Tuesday December 29 at 7pm on E4.
