A follow-up to HBO’s “Six Feet Under” is in early development at the premium cabler. No writer is currently attached to the project which may not move beyond the discussions phase.
No storyline has been decided either, meaning it could be a reboot or a revival, no decision has been made.
The series followed the lives of the Fisher family and their associates in the running of a funeral home in Los Angeles. Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Lauren Ambrose, Freddy Rodriguez, Mathew St. Patrick, Rachel Griffiths, and Jeremy Sisto starred.
The original series, which ran from 2001-2005 for five seasons, is still considered to have one of the most definitive TV series finales of all time so any revival would need to tread carefully.
Original series creator Alan Ball and executive producers Bob Greenblatt and David Janollari are all attached to executive produce.
