Salma Hayek and her Ventanarosa Productions label are developing a TV series adaptation of Leslie’s Lehr’s novel “A Boob’s Life” for HBO Max.
The first project under Ventanarosa’s new first-look deal with HBO, the half-hour comedy follows a woman named Leslie who is turning 40 and in crisis when her breasts spontaneously gain sentience and start talking to her.
This forces her to look at herself in a completely different light and blows open the reality of life in a female body in a culture obsessed with breasts.
Cynthia Mort, who created HBO series “Tell Me You Love Me,” will write and serve as showrunner and executive producer for the series.
Lehr will also serve as an executive producer alongside Hayek, Jose Tamez, Siobhan Flynn, Melissa Oman and Julie R. Snyder.
