Hailey Bieber has addressed a TikTok video which went viral recently, where a waitress who served her claimed the model was ‘not nice’.
TikTok user @juliacarolann had shared a video rating a host of celebrities she had encountered while working as a restaurant hostess in New York City, in which she claimed Gigi and Belle Hadid were 10/10 but gave Hailey a score of just 3.5.
She claimed in the video: ‘This is going to be controversial… I’ve met her a handful of times and every time she was not nice. I really wanted to like her but I have to give her a 3.5 out of 10. Sorry!’
Hailey addressed the claims in her latest YouTube video on ‘cancel culture, mental health and social media’ in which she apologised if she had come across as rude to the waitress.
She said: ‘Months ago there was this TikTok of this girl, right, and she was a waitress in New York and she was kind of rating people’s level of kindness or her interaction with them on a different scale and she did one about me.
‘She was like “I didn’t really have a great experience with her, I just didn’t feel like she was that nice” and when I saw her video I was so upset.’
Hailey continued: ‘There’s never an excuse for being rude. I felt bad that that was her experience with me.
‘You never know what someone’s going through. I remember going through times in my life where I was so sad, and so heartbroken, that engaging with people felt hard for me.
‘I don’t ever remember meeting her, but I’ve thought about it and I regretted that. I wished that that wasn’t her experience with me.’
Hailey admitted she wished she could have done things differently, adding: ‘I wish I didn’t act that way towards her. I’m a human and I made a mistake and I acted a way that was out of character for me. I acted a way that I don’t want to be. I’m trying to do better every single day. I want to continue to grow as a person.
‘I’m open to people correcting me but I don’t think that those people that try to correct me and try to tell me what I need to be and what I need to do, need to be people on social media.’
