Netflix’s acclaimed and prematurely cancelled female wrestling dramedy “GLOW” may have been cancelled, but the show’s creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch have already lined up a stellar cast for their next effort.
Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Merrit Wever, and Alison Brie have all signed on for the new anthology series “Roar” from Flahive and Mensch which has been ordered to series by Apple with eight half-hour episodes planned.
The show is described as a series of darkly comic feminist fables and is based on Cecilia Ahern’s book of short stories of the same name. Flahive and Mensch will serve as showrunners and executive producers.
