FX has announced its Summer and Fall TV premiere date schedule with several long-awaited titles finally making their debut.
“American Horror Stories” kicks off on July 15th, a seven-episode limited series spin-off that will feature a different horror story each episode as opposed to the main show’s season-long storylines.
“Reservation Dogs” begins August 9th, a Taika Waititi-produced half-hour comedy series that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.
“American Horror Story: Double Feature” begins August 25th. This new tenth season of the main series will stream the next day on Hulu. No other details are available.
“Archer” also returns on August 25th with its twelfth season on FXX. The eight-episode run sees Archer and the gang face a new threat: competition in the form of a highly organised spy conglomerate known as IIA (International Intelligence Agency).
“What We Do in the Shadows” returns with the third season on September 2nd on both FX and Hulu. In the new season, the vampires are elevated to a new level of power and will encounter a tempting Siren, gargoyles, werewolf kickball, Atlantic City casinos, wellness cults, ex-girlfriends, gyms and supernatural curiosities galore.
“Impeachment: American Crime Story” kicks off on September 7th. This third season of the anthology series tackles the Bill Clinton impeachment scandal with Paula Jones (Annaleigh Ashford), Monica Lewinsky (Beanie Feldstein) and Linda Tripp (Sarah Paulson) serving as principal characters.
“Y: The Last Man” finally debuts on September 13th. The long-awaited drama series based on DC Comics’ acclaimed comic set in a post-apocalyptic world in which every mammal with a Y chromosome has died except for one young man and his pet monkey. Diane Lane, Ashley Romans, Ben Schnetzer, Olivia Thirlby and Amber Tamblyn star.
Finally, the untitled B.J. Novak anthology series debuts on September 16th – a half-hour anthology series about people figuring out timeless moral questions in unprecedented times as it explores the biggest questions of our modern era from gun control to identity, social justice, sex, capitalism, revenge, love, fame and social media.
