Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer and a new poster for “Space Jam: A New Legacy” which is coming to theaters and HBO Max on July 16th.
The story sees LeBron James having a hard time relating to his son Dom who is much more interested in creating games than playing them. Those tech skills draw the attention of a CGI humanoid named Al G Rhythm (Don Cheadle) who pulls him and LeBron into a Warners entertainment server in an effort to steal some of LeBron’s followers on social media.
The only way to get Dom back, escape this intellectual property black hole, and stop this AI villain is with a game of basketball as LeBron rounds up the Looney Tunes characters to defeat a new team of villains called The Goon Squad.
Malcolm D. Lee directs and Ryan Coogler produces the project which also stars Sonequa Martin-Green and Don Cheadle along with players like Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kyle Kuzma, Chris Paul, Diana Taurasi and Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike.
