The first trailer has arrived for the seven-episode second season of the Netflix workplace comedy “Space Force” which returns February 18th.
Co-created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carrell, the latter plays general Mark R. Naird who, along with his underdog team at the newest branch of the military, has to prove their worth to a new administration and deal with a number of interpersonal challenges.
In an interview with Collider, showrunner Daniels confirmed they’re ditching the overly cinematic style of the first season which he suggests was the cause of the lack of laughs in the first season.
With the new run it will boast more improv with the cast playing off each other more. They also brought in Norm Hiscock (“Parks and Recreation,” “King of the Hill”) as a co-showrunner and hired Ken Kwapis to direct all of the new season.
John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome, Diana Silvers, Jimmy O. Yang, Don Lake, Lisa Kudrow, and Tim Meadows co-star.
