Square Enix has announced “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade,” an enhanced and expanded version of the title for the PlayStation 5.
The near six-minute trailer for the upgrade has been released, showing off the first gameplay footage which allows for 4K/30 in Graphics mode and 60fps in performance mode, and adds various lighting effects, fog, decreased loading times and more.
The upgrade also features a brand-new episode featuring Yuffie as the main character, and numerous gameplay additions for players to enjoy. In the episode, Yuffie Kisaragi infiltrates the shadowy Shinra corporation to steal a powerful material and restore glory to her homeland.
Players who purchased the PS4 remake will be able to download the free enhancement update that will include all the next-gen visual and gameplay enhancements at no extra cost. They’ll also be able to purchase the new episode, featuring Yuffie, as a standalone download from the PlayStation Store.
The upgrade and the full PS5 version will hit shelves on June 10th.
