Filming on Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” has finally wrapped in the UK, Reeves’ tweeting out a last day of filming photo yesterday for the Robert Pattinson-led dark thriller which is scheduled to open March next year.
Shooting on the project began in January last year in the UK. Only a few weeks of filming were in the can when the pandemic suspended production indefinitely.
In August, a trailer was released to rave reviews – the clip using the little bit of the film that had been shot to date including glimpses of Pattinson in the role along with Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler and an unrecognisable Colin Farrell as The Penguin.
Filming finally resumed in September with approximately three more months of filming left to do. Production delays saw that stretch out until the last shots went in the can this week.
