Fans are coming to the aid of Michael Hogan, the veteran character actor who played Colonel Saul Tigh on Syfy’s “Battlestar Galactica,” following news from his wife Susan Hogan.
According to a GoFundMe page created on his behalf, the actor has been suffering from paralysis on his left side, memory loss, cognitive impairment and other health problems following a fall back in February that caused bleeding in his brain.
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has also caused issues for Hogan’s recovery and it is unlikely he will be able to work again. The actor is currently being cared for at the Berkley Care Center in North Vancouver.
Fans quickly took notice of the fundraiser, and they began donating money to help fund the family’s needs, including medical bills, continued care, medications, adaptive clothing and other expenses. As of writing, over 3000 people have donated over $142,000 towards the actor’s recovery.
Hogan has appeared as a recurring actor on shows including “Fargo,” “Teen Wolf,” “Zoo,” “The Man in the High Castle,” “12 Monkeys” and “The L Word”.
