Christian Eriksen has warned Inter Milan that he has no intention of sitting on the bench all season amid renewed links with Tottenham.
The Denmark star has struggled to impress Inter coach Antonio Conte since moving to the San Siro from Spurs in January.
Eriksen has started only one of three Serie A matches this term and it was reported that Inter were willing to allow the playmaker to leave the club on loan at the end of the transfer window.
Spurs are said to be monitoring their former star’s situation and Eriksen has warned Conte that he expects more playing time.
“I don’t want to sit on the bench for the whole season,” he said while on Denmark duty. “I hope this isn’t the coach’s or the club’s intention.
“There will be an incredible number of matches in a short time, and now we also have three national team matches in a few days.
“The Champions League starts when we get back to their respective clubs, so there will be a lot of games to play.
“I’m sure I’ll probably have my minutes. So it depends a lot on the people on the outside and I myself expect this moment to come.”
