Emmerdale’s resident sociopath Meena Jutla shows no signs of slowing down in the wake of murdering Leanna Cavanagh, as she turns her attention to David Metcalfe.

The killer, played by Paige Sandhu, is desperate to lighten the mood, as everyone in the village is understandably grieving the loss of Leanna.

Jacob Gallagher, of course, has taken the news of his ex’s demise extremely hard, leaving David incredibly worried about him.

Meena, naturally, isn’t pleased about such a thing, as she’s receiving little to no attention from her beau, and therefore she schemes in order to win favours.

‘He seems better,’ she says to David in upcoming scenes, after setting her sights on Jacob. Evidently lying.

David, not agreeing, reminds her that he’s not going to get over something like the death of a loved one so quickly, and thus he’s decided to go away for a few days.

Meena, of course, misconstrues what he’s saying, believing that he means he’s going to take her away, and therefore she gets excited.

David, however, clarifies the situation, revealing that he meant he’s going to take just Jacob away.

Desperate to regain control, Meena offers a word of advice, claiming that this is the worst thing he could do, as Jacob needs to be surrounded by his friends.

David seemingly agrees with her on this, and therefore Meena is hailed as a hero once more.

Jacob, meanwhile, is taken aback when Liam enters the shop, and asks for assistance in arranging Leanna’s funeral.

Leanna died in horrific scenes last week, when Meena pushed her from a bridge to her death.

The killer was determined to cover her tracks, after Leanna discovered the role she had to play in the death of best mate Nadine Butler.

Emmerdale airs these scenes Thursday July 15 at 7pm on ITV.
