If there is one person who has done nothing but cause huge trouble since arriving in Emmerdale then it is dangerous and sleazy corrupt detective Malone (Mark Womack). Since the moment we saw him, it was clear he was a wrong ‘un and from sending Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) on drug runs to making the lives of Cain and Moira Dingle (Jeff Hordley and Natalie J Robb) hell, his menacing has been relentless.
One person who has distinctly mixed feelings about Malone is his previous colleague turned questionable vicar Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).
Even though she knows that Malone is wicked and twisted, she can’t help but feel an attraction to him – and this ended up leading to a vicious and bloody showdown between Malone and Harriet’s fiancé Will.
But even after an almost deadly experience, Malone still can’t keep away from the village – and he has his sights set firmly on Harriet. Claiming that he loves her, will he be able to get under her skin once more?
At the police station, Malone defends himself and further slanders Will, speculating that the real reason Harriet came to visit was because she can’t keep away from him.
Harriet is stopped in her tracks when Malone reveals the extent of his feelings for her but is she falling for him all over again or might she use his weakness for him to her advantage after what has happened with Will?
As Harriet makes a decision about where her loyalties lie, will Malone come out of this a winner once more?
Or is his final downfall imminent as he underestimates her?
