Emma Watson shuts down rumours she’s engaged to boyfriend Leo Robinton: ‘If I have news I’ll share it’

Emma Watson has quashed rumours she is engaged and has promised to keep fans in the loop ‘if I have news’.

The Harry Potter star, who is currently dating Leo Robinton, has been at the centre of speculation stories in recent weeks, broke her silence on social media to set the story straight.

‘Dear Fans, Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is “dormant or not” are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue,’ Emma penned.

‘If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you.’

The Hermione Granger actress continued: ‘In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are – failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people.

‘I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well. E Xx.’

Emma and her partner Leo were first romantically linked in October last year, when they were spotted kissing.

Since then, the duo have kept their relationship relatively private, although it’s been reported things are getting pretty serious, as Emma has introduced Leo to her parents.

Their relationship came to light after Emma had opened up about her love life in an interview with British Vogue in November last year and insisted she was ‘self-partnered’.

She told the publication: ‘I never believed the whole, “I’m happy single,” spiel. I was like, “this is totally spiel,” it took me a long time, but I’m very happy.’

‘I call it being self-partnered,’ she revealed – a term that her Harry Potter co-star Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, then referenced himself and said he was too ‘quite happily self-partnered’.

Elfin safety rules on Ri’s outing

Rihanna is top of the chops once again after breaking cover to unveil a stunning new makeover.

Keeping it short is important for RiRi as summer kicks in… she teamed her new elfin hairdo with a white miniskirt.

Covid-compliant with her bright green face mask, the 33-year-old ducked out for a dinner at Nobu in LA with mates.

There was no sign of her rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky — there have been few sightings of the pair together in recent months.

The Love On The Brain singer also wore bright red lippy to celebrate topping the cosmetics chart.

Rihanna’s £20 Stunna Lip Paint, from her Fenty range, was ranked by industry experts as the least likely to need a touch-up after mask-wearing or become smudged while eating.

Earlier this week RiRi was criticised by her own fans after she attempted to turn political and give her views on the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Platinum bond… Ari’s man designed her wedding ring

Ariana Grande trusted her new hubby Dalton Gomez to design her wedding ring.

The 7 Rings singer stunned fans with her secret marriage in California at the weekend, and yesterday it emerged the real estate agent took matters into his own hands when it came to the bling.

Dalton turned to jewellers Solow & Co to craft a platinum band to complement the diamond and pearl ring made by the New York company when he popped the question five months ago. A Solow spokesman said: ‘It’s a beautiful, tasteful platinum and diamond pavé band. Dalton was very happy with it.’

Last year the 25-year-old approached jeweller Jack Solow to create the ‘very specific’ engagement ring he wanted for Ariana, 27. Jack spilled: ‘Dalton had very strong feelings about how he wanted this to look, a contemporary kind of way. It was his idea to do the diamond on an angle and he said we had to incorporate a pearl.’

On Monday Ari’s rep confirmed an ‘intimate’ wedding took place at her home in Montecito.

Becks gets a kick out of Romeo’s ‘Bend it’ goal

Dad David was happy to take the credit after his son Romeo proved he, too, can bend it like Beckham.

The 18-year-old hopes to emulate Becks in every way after stepping out for free kick practice in his dad’s famous No.7 England shirt, with his matching bleached buzz cut.

The ex-Manchester United star’s sports-mad middle son banged a free kick over a wall of defenders and into the top corner of the net — just as Beckham famously did in stoppage time in a World Cup qualifier against Greece in 2001.

Chuffed Romeo posted the proof on Instagram, writing: ‘Practice makes perfect.’

Becks, 46, commented on his lad’s impressive efforts saying: ‘You’re welcome.’

And if Romeo doesn’t make it on the football pitch he has a fall-back as a pro tennis player after previously playing top ten ranked players at The Queen’s Club in London.

Nick is back in saddle for Voice

Nick Jonas turned up on the set of The Voice US after being mysteriously rushed to hospital at the weekend. Nick, 28, said he suffered a ‘cracked rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises’.

Rexha’s music is meant to Bebe

Bebe Rexha vowed not to give up after her album Better Mistakes limped to a humiliating No.140 on the US Billboard chart. The Meant To Be singer, 31, said: ‘Upsetting. But I won’t stop. I never have and never will.’

Paltrow’s poses upset her Moses

Gwyneth Paltrow says Moses, her 15-year-old son with Chris Martin, cringes if she reveals too much on the red carpet. Gwynnie, 48, said: ‘He never likes it if I wear vaguely see-through or too low-cut. He wants me to dress conservatively.’

Michaela scores another show

I May Destroy You star Michaela Coel has landed a new TV show.

The BBC teased: ‘It’s relatively early stages but we just wanted to let everybody know, for the fans of I May Destroy You, that there was a new show coming along.’

Hinting that fest is yet to come…

Glasto boss Emily Eavis suggested this weekend’s live stream event will tease next year’s line-up if the festival goes ahead at Worthy Farm. ‘There might be some subtle hints towards the future,’ said Emily, 41.

Sheryl: Show is all I wanna do

Sheryl Crow’s British fans will be able to attend a gig at her ‘little church’ in Nashville on June 18… by stream. ‘Presenting these songs in a new way is exciting — this is not a typical acoustic show,’ said the All I Wanna Do singer, 59.
