Dwayne Johnson has revealed he and his family tested positive for Covid-19.

The WWE legend and his loved ones – his wife Lauren Hashian and their daughters Tiana, two, and four-year-old Jasmine – all battled the coronavirus, but have emerged ‘on the other end of it’, and are ‘no longer contagious’.

In an Instagram video shared this week, he said: ‘I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family.

‘And for me personally too, as well. And I’ve gone through some doozies in the past. I’ve been knocked about and gotten my ass kicked a little bit in the past with some challenges.

‘But testing positive for Covid-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries, or being evicted, or even broke which I have been more than a few times.’

The Rock revealed his whole family tested positive, but he’d wished it had just been him because he always wanted to protect them.

Now, the Hollywood hero, his wife and their daughters have recovered from the respiratory illness.

He added: ‘My number one priority is to always protect my family and my loved ones… I wish it was only me that tested positive. It was my entire family and it was a kick in the gut.

‘But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We are on the other end of it, we are on the other side. We are no longer contagious and we are — thank God — we are healthy.’

Johnson – who recently bought the XFL sports franchise alongside his ex-wife Dany Garcia – also explained how fortunate he feels to have recovered from the illness.

He admitted: ‘We are counting our blessings right now. We are well aware you don’t always get to the other end of Covid-19 stronger and healthier.’
