Cruise Hangs From Biplane In M:I-8 Photos

It took them a year and a half to shoot the seventh “Mission: Impossible” film, the production stopping and starting several times and shifting locations due to the pandemic.

In September though, filming was finally completed. Now, two months later, it seems they’ve already gotten to work on “Mission: Impossible 8” already with photos at FOX News showing actor Tom Cruise hanging off the wing of a 1941 Boeing B75N1 Stearman biplane as it does a mid-air loop.

Just how Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character ends up dangling from a WW2 plane isn’t clear at this point. The plan was always to shoot the seventh and eighth ‘Mission’ films back-to-back, but the multiple delays and sheer exhaustion of completing the seventh film’s marathon shoot would make a longer break between the shoots understandable.

Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote the two films together, isn’t slowing down though and it’s expected the new movie won’t face as long or as complicated a production as the seventh.

“Mission: Impossible 7” is currently slated for September 2022 and will be followed by “Mission: Impossible 8” in July 2023.
