Conrad To Pen ‘Thrones’ Spin-Off “Dunk & Egg”

Steve Conrad (“The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Wonder”) has been set as a writer and executive producer on the “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off series “Dunk & Egg” in the works at HBO.

The series is based on author George R.R. Martin’s series of fantasy novellas and is but one of several live-action ‘Thrones’ prequel projects in development.

The series would follow the adventures of Dunk (Ser Duncan the Tall) and Egg (the future king Aegon V. Targaryen) in events that take place around ninety years before Ned Stark’s death and the War of the Five Kings.

The project will come after “House of the Dragon,” the first ‘Thrones’ prequel set to go to series – that project is expected to debut on HBO next year.
