“Cobra Kai” Has A Six Season Plan

The third season of acclaimed series “Cobra Kai” hits Friday, arriving quicker than anticipated on the show’s new home at Netflix.

Series stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are doing press rounds for the new run and Macchio, who has played Daniel LaRusso across the entire “The Karate Kid” saga, tells LAD Bible that the creators of the show have long-term plans in place and he and his co-star are all on board for the duration:

“The writers have always felt they had six seasons in their head, where the story arcs can go. So that should all land when the time is right. You don’t want to overstay your welcome, but the fans are having fun, and there’s more story there. As long as we’re allowed to keep doing it, Billy and I are in.”

Zabka adds that they get to work filming the show’s fourth season in just a few weeks and then adds: “the show has a long way to go and we’re really having fun with it.” The show’s third season begins with the characters struggling to come to terms with the brawl’s repercussions at the high school. It launches January 1st worldwide on the streamer.
