Child’s Play killer doll Chucky wants to be your ‘best bud’ on 4/20

The killer doll Chucky inhaled marijuana back in 1998’s Bride of Chucky. Now, the new iteration of the classic horror villain featured in the upcoming Child’s Play remake (out June 21) wants you to know that he too doesn’t just smoke people.
In an image released to Twitter for April 20 — the day of the year which has become most associated with the still-illegal-in-many-states intoxicant — Chucky is seen wearing an overall emblazoned with a marijuana leaf patch. The accompanying message? “He’s more than a toy, he’s your best bud.”
Hey, we see what you did there!
The new Child’s Play stars Aubrey Plaza as a mother who gives her son, Andy (Gabriel Bateman), a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. The film costars Brian Tyree Henry and Mark Hamill, who voices Chucky.
