Chelsea could be forced into choosing between Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell with the Blues likely to pick the Bayer Leverkusen attacker, according to reports.
The Blues sealed the signing of Timo Werner on Thursday for £47.5m after weeks of speculation, while they can look forward to welcoming Hakim Ziyech in July too with the Ajax winger agreeing a deal back in January.
Leverkusen’s Havertz and Leicester City’s Chilwell have been consistently linked as Chelsea’s next two transfer targets as they look to help Frank Lampard build his own squad.

A report on Thursday hinted that Chelsea could have a clear path to Havertz with other interested clubs not able to pursue the Germany international at this time, while a report on Monday said that the Premier League club could sell up to six players to raise funds for their purchase of Chilwell.
And now The Guardian expects ‘more new faces’ to follow but claims that Chelsea could have to choose between Chilwell or Havertz this summer.
Both deals are expected to be pricey with Havertz valued at €100m (£90m) by Leverkusen, while Chilwell could be available for around £50m.
And the report suggests that Chelsea could move for Havertz instead of Chilwell with Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico and Porto’s Alex Telles named as ‘cheaper alternatives’.
