Actor and stuntman Daniel Bernhardt will reprise his role as Agent Johnson in the fourth “The Matrix” feature which recently resumed production in Berlin ahead of an April 1st 2022 release. Bernhardt was in 2003’s “The Matrix Reloaded” and has also appeared with Reeves in the “John Wick” movies as an actor and a stunt performer. [Source: Deadline]
The Last Son of Isaac Lemay
Heather Graham will join Sam Worthington, Thomas Jane and Colson Baker in the western action feature “The Last Son of Isaac LeMay”. Tim Sutton (“Donnybrook”) is directing, currently in pre-production from a Black List script by Greg Johnson.
Set in the Sierra Nevada in the late 19th century, Worthington plays a murderous outlaw cursed by a terrible prophecy who is hunting down his offspring to prevent his own murder and targeting his son Cal (Baker) next. With bounty hunters and the enigmatic Sheriff Solomon (Jane) on their tail, all are set on a collision course toward a brutal game of cat-and-mouse. Graham will play Anna, Cal’s mother. Swan Song
Mahershala Ali is set to star in Oscar-winner Benjamin Cleary’s new drama “Swan Song” for Apple TV+ with shooting to kick off this Spring. Adam Shulman and Jacob Perlin will produce. Set in the near future, the film explores how far someone will go, and how much they’ll sacrifice, to make a happier life for the people they love. [Source: Heat Vision]
Invasion
Rory Cochrane (“CSI Miami,” “Empire Records”) will join Riz Ahmed, Octavia Spencer and Janina Gavankar in Amazon’s sci-fi thriller “Invasion”. Michael Pearce is directing the feature and writing alongside Joe Barton.
The story charts how two young brothers go on the run with their father, a decorated Marine, who is on a rescue mission to save his boys from a non-human threat. As their journey takes them in increasingly dangerous and unexpected directions, the boys need to confront hard truths and leave their childhoods behind. Cochrane plays the lead FBI agent who goes after the family. [Source: MSN]
