Devotion
Jonathan Majors (“Lovecraft Country”) and Glen Powell (“Set It Up”) are set to star in director J.D. Dillard’s historical war epic “Devotion” for Sony Pictures, STXInternational and Black Label Media. Filming begins in February.

Set in 1950, as the Cold War looms, the pair play elite U.S. Navy fighter pilots who form a firm friendship that is tested on the battlefield when one of them is shot down behind enemy lines. Women in the Castle
Kristin Scott Thomas, Daisy Ridley and Nina Hoss are set to lead the cast of “The Wife” writer-director Jane Anderson’s “Women in the Castle” based on Jessica Shattuck’s 2017 New York Times bestseller. Filming begins early 2021 in Eastern Europe.

Set in the ruins of WWII Germany, three women are bound by their past and clinging to each other for a future. Theymust grapple with the realities of liberation from the Nazis, and face the consequences of decisions they cannot undo. [Source: THR]

Mother/Android
Chloe Grace Moretz is set to star in the Mattson Tomlin-directed sci-fi thriller “Mother/Android” for Miramax. Tomlin, who co-wrote the upcoming “The Batman,” penned the story loosely based on his birth parents who saved their child from the dangers of the Romanian Revolution. Matt Reeves is set to produce.

Moretz plays Georgia who, with her boyfriend Sam, goes on a treacherous journey to escape their country, which is caught in an unexpected war with artificial intelligence. Days away from the arrival of their first child, the couple must face No Man’s Land – a stronghold of the android uprising, in hopes of reaching safety before giving birth. [Source: THR]

The Last Rifleman
Pierce Brosnan has been attached to star in filmmaker Terry Loane’s “The Last Rifleman” at WestEnd Films. Kevin Fitzpatrick penned the true story inspired film to be shot in Northern Ireland.

Brosnan will play Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran living in a care home in Northern Ireland who has just lost his wife. On the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings, he decides to escape his care home and embarks on a journey to France to pay his final respects. [Source: Deadline]

They Cloned Tyrone
Jamie Foxx and Teyonah Parris will star alongside John Boyega in the sci-fi mystery “They Cloned Tyrone” for Netflix. The story follows an unlikely trio who investigates a series of eerie events, alerting them to a nefarious conspiracy lurking directly beneath their hood. “Creed II” writer Juel Taylor co-wrote and directs the film.
