Britain’s Got Talent viewers divided after comedian Nabil Abdulrashid beats nurse Beth Porch in semi-final

The result of the fifth Britain’s Got Talent semi-final left viewers divided after the judges put comedian Nabil Abdulrashid into the final three instead of nurse Beth Porch.

It was a difficult decision for the judges tonight as they had to pick just three acts, who would then have a chance to be in the final.

After much deliberation, the panel chose Nabil, unicyclist Wesley Williams and gospel choir Shalom Chorale to be in the final three.

But in the end, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Ashley Banjo all voted for Nabil to be put through to the final, while Amanda Holden voted for Wesley.

Taking to Twitter after the show, viewers said they were unsure about whether the judges made the right decision about not putting Beth into the final three.

One tweeted: ‘Beth should’ve gone through to the final – a real talent!….’

Another said: ‘HOW was Beth not in the top 3? What is actually wrong with them?!’

While one added: ‘Disgusted Beth the NHS nurse is not in the final.’

‘Beth and Aiden were surely in the top 3 tonight. You guys were robbed,’ another commented.

Although, many BGT fans were happy that Nabil was picked for the final.

One tweeted: ‘Nabil was the best by an absolute mile!’

While another said: ‘Wow Nabil Abdulrashid was so hilarious tonight I almost lost it completely.’

So happy for Nabil I really wanted to see him in the final. Him aside I don’t think the other 2 were the right top 3 I’d have put Beth and Aidan there. I voted twice for Beth and once for Aidan, Håkan and Wesley. #bgt
