Barring any health emergencies, the game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday July 8.

What time does Brighton v Liverpool kick-off?

The game is scheduled for an 8.15pm kick-off and is the last of four Premier League matches that day.

What is at stake?

It’s an important game, but not as crucial as it potentially could have been, mainly thanks to Brighton’s post-lockdown form.

The Seagulls looked like they were in desperate trouble before the break but have rallied since and hauled themselves to within just one win of safety. There won’t be any real pressure on that win coming in this game, but they’d certainly welcome it.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have the Premier League title safety sewn up.

Where can I watch Brighton v Liverpool?

It’s being broadcast by Sky Sports.

Is Brighton v Liverpool free-to-air?

It’s not, no. To watch this one you will either need a Sky Sports subscription or to purchase a Now TV pass.

What is the team news?

Brighton have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of the champions. Steven Alzate has an outside chance of making it, but it appears very unlikely. Jose Izquierdo remains sidelined.

Liverpool may opt to make changes with this game their third in seven days. Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Roberton Firmino were rested last time out so may return to the starting line-up.

Andy Robertson will probably be rested in stand-in James Milner can overcome a minor injury.

What happened in the reverse match?

Centre-back Virgil van Dijk scored twice when these two sides met at Anfield, but Alisson’s late red card made it a nervy finish for the Reds. However, they were able to hang on for a 2-1 win.

What are the odds?

Wolves are the 11/10 favourites to win the game, with Sheffield United priced at 14/5. The draw, meanwhile, can be back at 11/5.
