A wedding is a big event in a girl's life and she needs to be perfect for her special day. From venue, menu, to guest list and gowns down to the hairdo and makeup, many decisions have to be made. Bridal hair designs depend on the length and texture of the hair. Usually hairstylists have excellent opinions and ideas of how to do a bride's hair. However sometimes people prefer to do the hair and makeup themselves of getting them done by friends. In such cases it is best that women know what options they have that they can choose from.

Long and sleek hair is usually the easiest type of hair to manage as you can set it any way you like. Some people put rollers on their hair to give them slight twirls and leave one or two strands straight to dangle from the face. This look is ideal with long veils. The hairstyle of a bride should be set according to the dress and the veil. A bride can do her hair in a number of different styles.

Tying the hair in a bun is a traditional bridal hairdo, mostly for Asian brides. The Pakistani and Indian brides usually set their hair in tight buns so that they can support their heavy duppattas on their heads with the help of hair pins. These buns are very tight and secure as they have to support heavy clothing article. Even these South Asian brides often let one or two strands of hair fall on their face. South Asian brides are famous for the heavy jewelry they wear on their weddings. Some brides wear special head jewelry as part of their wedding jewelry and the hairstyle has to be made around the jewelry.

Bridal hair styling is an art and there are many stylists who offer their professional services to brides on their big day. Sometimes brides wear small white wreath of flowers and in such cases the hair is usually let open with a long veil to support the look. Head jewelry can be anything from a hair band, to flowers to a nice and big hair clip to hold the hair. Usually weddings take a few hours from the "I do's" to the wedding receptions. A bridal hairdo should be comfortable and firm enough to last the few hours.

So a bridal hair style can be anything from a tight bun, open hair with strands to even branded hair. The most important factor is to make sure that the hair, the head jewelry, the veil and the wedding gown are all complimenting each other.
