Two of BioWare’s senior executives – general manager Casey Hudson and “Dragon Age” franchise executive producer Mark Darrah, are both set to leave the company before year’s end. EA executive Laura Miele announced the departures in a corporate blog post.
Hudson served as project director on the acclaimed “Mass Effect” trilogy before departing BioWare in 2014. He returned later in 2017 to take on the role of general manager. Darrah has worked for the studio for more than 20 years.
A remaster of the original “Mass Effect” trilogy dubbed the ‘Legendary Edition’ is on the way for Spring 2021 while both a “Dragon Age 4” and “Mass Effect 5” are still in the works though both are expected to be several years away. Christian Dailey and Mike Gamble will now spearhead those franchises respectively.
A new look at the next “Dragon Age” game is expected to take place during the Game Awards this coming Thursday.
