Armie Hammer Joins “Godfather” Series

Armie Hammer is set to play producer Al Ruddy in “The Offer,” a ten-episode drama about the making of “The Godfather” which has been set up at Paramount+ (formerly known as CBS All Access).

The series is based on Ruddy’s experiences alongside director Francis Ford Coppola, author Mario Puzo and producer Robert Evans. The series will include previously unrevealed experiences Ruddy had in making the picture.

Michael Tolkin (“The Player”) is writing and executive producing while Ruddy, Nikki Toscano and Leslie Greif also executive produce. The series comes as Paramount has licensed out its “Godfather” trilogy to rival Universal’s Peacock service where it will reside until 2023.
