Alan Cumming will reprise one of his most iconic roles for two episodes of the upcoming sixth season of “The Good Fight” on the Paramount+ service.
Cumming played political consultant and crisis manager Eli Gold throughout the entire seven-season run of CBS’ “The Good Wife” and became one of the show’s most beloved characters.
His appearance in ‘Fight’ finds Eli returning to assist his daughter Marissa (Sarah Steele) as she embarks on her new career as a full-fledged lawyer.
Cumming’s casting follows hot on the heels of the news yesterday that “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” alum Andre Braugher will be joining the show as a new series regular.
The new season finds Diane (Christine Baranski) feeling like she’s going crazy, struggling with an uneasy sense of deja vu, with everything from Roe v. Wade to voting rights to Cold War aggressions returning.
Meanwhile, the lawyers of Reddick & Associates wonder if the violence that they see all around them points to an impending civil war.
Filming on the new run is currently underway ahead of a Summer premiere.
