Amy Adams’ Bond Group Entertainment and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories production labels have picked up the screen rights to scientist Suzanne Simard’s memoir “Finding the Mother Tree”.
The book recounts her groundbreaking and once-ridiculed research, incorporating it into a scientific detective story about the woman who first discovered how trees communicate underground through an immense web of fungi.
Adams is set to star in the work which both companies will develop with both actors to produce. A distributor has not yet been set.
