“A Quiet Place Part II” Delayed As Well

Paramount is once again moving the release date for its horror/thriller sequel “A Quiet Place Part II” – capping off a hectic 24 hours for the 2021 film release schedule.

The John Krasinski-directed film will now open wide on September 17th – this marks the fourth release date the project has been given, its first being March 20th 2020, due to the ongoing pandemic.

Its new slot has it up against “Death on the Nile,” “The Boss Baby: Family Business,” and “The Man From Toronto”.

With ‘Quiet’ gone, the entire first third of the year (up until the end of April) has now been mostly abandoned by the studios – the notable exceptions being Lionsgate’s big-budget “Chaos Walking” in March, the Kevin Hart dramedy “Fatherhood” and Bob Odenkirk action-thriller “Nobody” in April, and the various Warner Bros. Pictures releases going simultaneously with HBO Max – “Godzilla vs. Kong,” “Mortal Kombat,” “Tom and Jerry” and “The Little Things”.

Uncertainty is also rising fast in regards to the various major titles in May including “F9: The Fast Saga,” “Black Widow,” “Free Guy,” “Spiral” and “Cruella” with murmurs “F9” is going to move shortly.
