Focus Home Interactive

A TV series adaptation of Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive’s celebrated 2019 video game “A Plague Tale” is reportedly in the works.

Director Mathieu Turi (“Meandre,” “Hostile”) announced the news on Twitter with IGN then subsequently confirming the report.

The first title in the series, “A Plague Tale: Innocence” unfolds in France in the mid-14th century during the Hundred Years War and the height of the Black Plague.

The story follows teenage noble Amicia de Rune and her sickly five-year-old brother Hugo who must run for their lives when a revelation about their bloodline sees them trying to evade both the French Inquisition and hordes of plague-infested rats.

The sequel game “A Plague Tale: Requiem” arrives in stores later this year. The planned series adaptation has no potential release date as yet.
