Brazil’s CCXP Worlds 2021 expo just got a huge exclusive with the premiere of a first look at an early scene from “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part One”.
It was subsequently confirmed by filmmaker Chris Miller that this follow-up to 2018’s highly acclaimed “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is just part one of a two-part film with the second being produced simultaneously with the first.
This sequel will see the return of Moore as Miles Morales, Johnson as Peter Parker, and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy. In addition to these returning characters, the sequel will also include Issa Rae as Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman and the return of Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Haha / Spider-Man 2099.
The new film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. David Callaham, Phil Lord and Chris Miller have penned the first film and are currently writing the second part.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part One” arrives in cinemas October 2022. According to EW, the third film is targeting a release sometime in 2023.
