The CW has released the official trailer for the eighth season of the Grant Gustin-led DC series “The Flash” which returns on November 16th.
The new season is a little different in that it will release as a five-part crossover special event titled ‘Armageddon’ on November 16th, then take a break and return with the rest of the new season early next year.
In the special event series, powerful threat Despero (Tony Curran) arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances and Barry, Iris, and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world.
But with time running out, and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.
Brandon Routh’s The Atom, Cress Williams’ Black Lightning, Kat McNamara’s Mia Queen, Osric Chau’s Ryan Choi, Chyler Leigh’s Sentinel, and Javicia Leslie’s Batwoman will all lend a hand in the crossover event while Tom Cavanagh’s Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash and Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk also return.
