Sony held its latest ‘State of Play’ today and unveiled the first look at fourteen minutes of gameplay from “Horizon: Forbidden West” ahead of its planned release later this year.
The follow-up to 2017’s critical and commercial smash “Horizon: Zero Dawn,” Guerrilla Games’ title will be a PS4 and PS5 exclusive but no specific release date has yet been locked in (likely in the Fall).
In the new title, Aloy’s adventure continues as she is sent to secure a frontier called the Forbidden West and find the source of a mysterious plague that is killing everyone that it infects.
She encounters new types of machines and will travel across varied terrain ranging from snowy mountains to ruined cities and tropical beaches. The map is said to be far bigger than the original and will include a ruined version of San Francisco.
That’s not all though as a half-hour clip of footage from the second entry in Techland’s zombie apocalypse game series “Dying Light” has also been released.
“Dying Light 2: Stay Human,” the new title has a much larger scope and world with its blend of parkour and RPG. The new gameplay trailer shows off the title’s changing story paths, dynamic NPCs and more. The title has set a December 7th release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
