Paramount Plans A New Film Every Week

The ad-supported Paramount+ subscription plan has launched today, offering a lower pricing tier of $4.99 per month. The new tier, dubbed the ‘Essential Plan’, arrives three months after CBS All Access was rebranded as the Paramount+ service.

The $9.99 per month ‘Premium Plan’ remains the same, offering an ad-free experience with 4K HDR & Dolby Vision, mobile downloads, and more sports and local programming.

This week sees the Mark Wahlberg-led sci-fi thriller “Infinite” exclusively premiere on the service on June 10th. On the same day, the service will add more than 1,000 “premium” movies and several hundred TV series, with more than 1,500 more titles expected to be added by the end of Summer.

New films added with this 1,000 include the likes of “Skyfall,” “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol,” “The Adventures of Tintin,” “Rocketman,” “Crawl,” ” Terminator: Dark Fate,” “Pet Sematary,” “The Birdcage,” “The Full Monty,” “The Addams Family,” “Gemini Man,” “Judy,” “Revolutionary Road,” “Red Dawn,” “The Avengers,” “Florence Foster Jenkins,” “Gretel & Hansel and more”.

This all joins the revival of “iCarly” and new seasons of “Evil,” “The Good Fight” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks” in coming weeks. Paramount Pictures theatrical hits, starting with “A Quiet Place Part II,” will now land on the streaming platform 45 days after arriving in theaters.
