Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speaker system is one of the oldest PC/gaming speaker systems on the market and it’s still one of the most popular ones. It is a great choice for gamers but it’s also great for movies and music and if you are looking for a speaker system under $200 for your desktop, you should definitely check it out.

If you’re looking for a decent PC speaker system for the home office, your bedroom or even college dorm room, you will not be disappointed with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speaker system. When it comes to value for money, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 cannot be beaten. This system retails at well under $200 however, could easily sell for closer to $300 and still be worth the purchase. The Klipsch brand name alone is worth the price. Klipsch products are built to last, never disappoint and have exceptional after sales service and support in the US. Check out the Klipsch website for more details on service and warranty.

If you can live with the design and don’t mind spending past the $100 mark, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is a great deal. Gamers will love the surround sound, precision rendering of low frequency effects and soothing background score. Audiophiles will harp over its frequency response and powerful satellites. You will never go back to any other brand of model of 2.1 surround speakers after buying this!

Klipsch hit the sweet spot with this 2.1 package and for the money you could do worse than to pick this up. Decent highs and lows all while being accompanied with a nice looking design, though on the large side if you have a small desk, the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 is perfect as a replacement set or for the gamer/movie-goer looking to add a little more oomph to their PC, Laptop or Tablet setup.

ven after 10 years, the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 remains a rock-solid PC speaker system capable of great things, including a nice flat frequency response and powerful bass. It certainly seems worthy of the THX certification. The worst thing we can say about this system is that the highest 10 kHz+ end of the audio spectrum might be a little weak. But it’s not so bad that it’s easy to notice, even when you’re directly comparing it to its contemporaries.

At $149.99, the Klipsch ProMedias compete directly with similarly priced Logitech, Altec Lansing, and Creative Labs sets with larger subs. If you pride yourself on crisp, clear, powerful sound, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is a leader in its price range. But if you want deep, precise bass from your sub, this set up may leave you hanging.

The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s’ output quality is excellent on the whole, but a few minor problems prevent them from surpassing the competition.

For its excellent commitment to sound quality and over all impressive performance, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is awarded the AnandTech gold medal.

When it comes to the unparalleled quality in the kind of an explicit and high-allegiance sound, the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 is commonly placed as being one of the best 2.1 version speaker systems that are available in the market nowadays. If you find your budget fitting for this device and you are certain about your sounds, it is surely a must-buy.

Furthermore, the Klipsch speakers are THX certified and have very respectable separation and soundstage, which makes it feel as though you are listening to surround sound speakers. The frequency response on these speakers is very wide from 31 Hz to 20kHz and can handle almost any music genre that you throw at it. While these speakers do not come cheap, they do represent decent value for money and are really good speakers that are worth considering if you want to upgrade your existing computer speaker setup.

If you’re a serious gamer, you probably have a surround sound system of some sort, be it speakers or headphones. So this system isn’t for you. If you just want great sounding desktop speakers, go find the non-wireless version of these. They’re exactly the same and go for something like 50 bucks since they’ve been around since the original Half-Life.
