Having been described as “Lord of the Flies in space” in the past, though looking more like something out of the mind of Bret Easton Ellis, the trailer has finally arrived for the sci-fi feature “Voyagers” starring Tye Sheridan, Colin Farrell, Lily-Rose Depp, Fionn Whitehead and Isaac Hempstead Wright.
Neil Burger (“The Illusionist,” “Limitless”) helms the near future-set film which chronicles the odyssey of thirty young men and women who are sent deep into space on a multi-generational mission to colonize a distant planet.
They soon uncover disturbing secrets about the mission, and so defy their training and begin to explore their most primitive natures. As life on the ship descends into chaos, they’re consumed by fear, lust, and the insatiable hunger for power.
“Voyagers” arrives in cinemas on April 9th.
